The volume of the monetary base of the Russian Federation in a narrow definition on March 22, 2024 amounted to 18123.5 billion rubles (+99.8 billion rubles, +0.6%) compared with the indicator on March 15. This was announced by the Department of External and Public Relations of the Bank of Russia.
The monetary base in a narrow definition includes cash issued by the Bank of Russia (taking into account the balances in the cash desks of credit institutions) and balances on the accounts of mandatory reserves for funds attracted by credit institutions in national currency deposited with the Bank of Russia.
