Aeroflot increased transportation between Moscow and the cities of the Far Eastern Federal District in the first quarter

In the first quarter of 2024, Aeroflot increased by 16.4% the number of passengers transported on flights between Moscow and the cities of the Far Eastern Federal District. In total, 546,903 passengers were transported on flights operated by Aeroflot Group airlines under the SU code during this period. 1,662 flights were completed, which is 16% more than in the first quarter of 2023.

In the Far Eastern directions, in the first three months of 2024, it was transported (an increase by Q1 2023):

  • 172,890 passengers between Moscow and Vladivostok (+13%)
  • Between Moscow and Khabarovsk — 131,218 passengers (+8.3%)
  • 85,087 passengers (+19%) between Moscow and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk
  • 71,938 passengers (+15.5%) between Moscow and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
  • Between Moscow and Magadan — 37,910 passengers (+2.3%)
  • Between Moscow and Yakutsk — 19,135 passengers (+18.5%)
  • 17,756 passengers between Moscow and Blagoveshchensk (flights were opened on 01/31/2024)
  • Between Moscow and Anadyr — 10,969 passengers (+26%)

The increase in passenger traffic indicates the growing popularity of Far Eastern destinations. Aeroflot consistently implements a policy of increasing the availability of air transportation in these areas, including through subsidized and "flat" tariff programs. Earlier, the airline reported an increase in the frequency of flights to Far Eastern destinations during the May holidays, summer holidays and school holidays.
