The reconnaissance thermal imaging complex "Checkpoint" of the Shvabe holding of Rostec State Corporation allows you to automatically detect and determine the coordinates of objects at a distance of up to 5 km. It includes a mini-UAV with a thermal imager and an intelligent video analytics system with VR glasses for real-time image acquisition. The innovative development is presented at the Securika Moscow 2024 International Security Industry Exhibition.

The Blockpost reconnaissance thermal imaging complex was developed by the Astron Optical and Mechanical Design Bureau. It includes a ground-based optoelectronic station on a rotary platform, a miniature 400T unmanned aerial vehicle with a thermal imager, as well as a repeater and control panels. If necessary, the 400T UAV carries out additional reconnaissance of detected targets. Its flight range reaches six kilometers, and the continuous operation time is at least 50 minutes.

During the operation of the complex, data from the ground station and the UAV are remotely transmitted to the repeater and then to the operator. The cable communication channel between the repeater and the control panel allows the operator to be at a safe distance and monitor using a monitor. At the same time, the built-in intelligent video analytics automatically highlights the detected objects on the screen and determines the coordinates.

"Initially, the complex was developed for the tasks of the special services, but in current realities it will also be in demand for civilian purposes, for example, for the protection and protection of objects, search for people, etc. The ground station detects a person at a distance of up to 3.5 km, a car at a distance of up to 5 km. Development is effective at any time of the day. For convenience, the complex is equipped with VR glasses, which receive video images from UAVs in real time," said Vladimir Popov, General Director of the Astron Design Bureau.

You can learn more about the development at the Securika Moscow 2024 International Security Industry Exhibition, which takes place at the Crocus Expo IEC from April 16 to 18.
