Moscow, March 28, 2024 – Sovcombank will participate in the work of the Interdepartmental Commission on the Assignment, confirmation and termination of the status of compliance of organizations with Sustainable Development Goals (ESG status) Russian companies. Andrey Korolev, Executive Director of the Capital Markets Department, will join the commission.

Obtaining ESG status is a tool for attracting investments, entering new suppliers and creating logistics chains, as well as easier access to foreign markets. To get this status, companies need to submit an application on the Investment Portal of the city of Moscow (https://investmoscow.ru /).

The interdepartmental Commission consists of representatives of the executive authorities of the Moscow Government, ANO ASI and leading experts in the field of sustainable development. It decides on the ESG status of organizations operating in the territory of the city of Moscow. The assessment received will confirm their work in the field of sustainable development and will become an incentive for further activities to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

During the assessment, the members of the commission will take into account about 90 indicators in the following areas: business reputation, environmental and environmental impact, social and managerial aspects.
