Yandex has combined the search capabilities and large generative models in the new Neuro service. The user can ask him any question. To answer it, neural networks will study and select the necessary sources in the search results. And the YandexGPT 3 family model will analyze them and combine the information found in one succinct message with links to materials.

Neuro is able to answer questions for which it is usually necessary to study several sources from the Internet. For example, "which plants can live in a dark room at home and do not require daily watering" or "is it worth going to Karelia in autumn and what to do there". After receiving the answer, the user can ask Neuro additional questions or clarify information in the dialog mode. The service will respond based on the context of the conversation.

Neuro understands the natural language of communication. To ask him about something, you do not need to choose the wording: you can write queries the way they come to mind. You can also add images to a text query. For example, take a picture of a board game and ask for an explanation of its rules.

Neuro takes facts not from the model's memory, but from sources on the Internet. This means that his answers contain fresh and relevant information, even if it appeared only a few hours ago. The service always backs up its response with links to the web pages from where it took the information. They are placed in a separate block above the text. Thanks to such links, users will be able to check the facts themselves and delve into the topic of interest, and the sites will receive additional traffic.

Neuro is already available in the Yandex with Alice app and in Yandex Browser. To use the service, you need to log in to Yandex and switch the toggle switch near the search bar.
