A complex of local wastewater treatment plants has been put into operation in the Smolensk Region

A facility for cleaning household wastewater with a capacity of 1600 cubic meters. I earned m per day in the village of Pechersk. The construction of the structures was provided by the Government of the Smolensk Region under the Incentive program of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation within the framework of the national project "Housing and Urban Environment".

"Since 2021, the activities of the Incentive program of the national Housing and Urban Environment project have been implemented in the Smolensk Region. Thanks to them, 127.7 thousand square meters of housing were additionally introduced in the region, transport infrastructure facilities with a total length of 0.97 km were built and reconstructed, and a complex of sewage treatment plants was created," said Nikita Stasishin, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation.

The project provides for the diversion of domestic wastewater from centralized wastewater disposal systems and residential buildings in the village of Ryasino, the new Pechersk Park microdistrict, as well as parts of the Pechersk rural settlement systems to sewage treatment plants.

"The production capacity of the new complex of sewage treatment plants will allow the construction of a school for 726 places in Pechersk, a kindergarten for 240 children, as well as shops, a boiler room and a consumer services plant. In addition, more than 150 thousand square meters of housing will be additionally introduced in the microdistrict. The facility will improve the quality of public services for 4.5 thousand Smolyans," commented Vasily Anokhin, Governor of the Smolensk Region.

The Incentive program is implemented within the framework of Housing and Urban Environment on the terms of co-financing from the federal, regional and local budgets. It is aimed at increasing the accessibility of infrastructure facilities for citizens, reducing financial and time costs for developers and accelerating the pace of housing construction.
