The total wage arrears in the Russian Federation as of April 1, 2024 amounted to 333.3 million rubles, having decreased by 23.1% over the month. This was reported by Rosstat.
The share of employees who had wage arrears was less than 1% as of April 1.
By type of economic activity, the number of employees owed to them was distributed as follows: manufacturing – 34.6%; water supply; sanitation, waste collection and disposal, pollution control activities – 29.2%; mining – 13.3%; transport – 8.1%; construction – 5.5%; real estate management for remuneration or on a contractual basis – 3.9%; agriculture, hunting and the provision of services in these areas; logging – 2.9%; research and development – 1.8%; provision of electric energy, gas and steam; air conditioning – 0.5%; education – 0.2%.
