The amount of the increased additional rate of insurance premiums payable by banks participating in the deposit insurance system to the mandatory deposit insurance fund will amount to 300% of the base rate from the third quarter of 2024. The corresponding decision was made by the Board of directors of the Deposit Insurance Agency, according to the DIA website.

Thus, the zero rate, which has been applied since the first quarter of 2022, has been abolished.

In January 2024, amendments to the law "On Deposit Insurance in Banks of the Russian Federation" came into force, excluding from the legal field the concept of an additional insurance premium rate for banks participating in the deposit insurance system.

As a result, only increased additional and basic insurance premium rates are currently applied. The base rate is 0.12% of the calculation base – the arithmetic average for the calendar quarter of the daily balances of insured funds.
