The government discussed the main parameters of the forecast of socio-economic development for 2025 and the planning period until 2027. This was announced by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers Mikhail Mishustin noted that in the next three years a number of systemic issues will have to be resolved, including launching new national projects, ensuring the progressive movement of the country towards national goals, as well as solving a number of other tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The head of government said that the Russian economy is confidently adapting to external challenges and is transforming based on its own national objectives, despite increased sanctions pressure.

Thus, in February, GDP growth accelerated to 7.7%. Production has expanded in both the extractive and manufacturing sectors. Consumer activity is strengthening.

According to the results of the first quarter of 2024, federal budget revenues increased by more than 50% relative to the level of the corresponding period last year, which creates additional opportunities for the implementation of significant projects.

According to the developed basic version of the forecast, GDP growth in the next three years will be about 2.3 or 2.4% per year. This will be provided by an increase in domestic demand.
