A study conducted by the VSK shows that the number of accidents with Russians increases by about 8% during the May holidays. This is a fairly high indicator, which may be associated with an active lifestyle of people during this period, when many go to nature or engage in various types of outdoor activities, the company said in a statement.
The second May holidays turn out to be the most traumatic period, which may be due to the fact that people relax somewhat after the first wave of holidays and become less cautious, the company notes.
The average amount of compensation for injury during the May holidays is impressive – more than 165 thousand rubles.
Injuries sustained as a result of riding scooters and bicycles account for less than 0.5% of complaints.
