Export support for companies in new territories: results and export development plans

The REC, together with the Export Support Center of the DPR, formed a scheme of interaction with companies in the region. Currently, work is underway on a methodology for assessing the export maturity of companies, taking into account regional peculiarities. Next, a focus group will be formed to test the program, identify shortcomings and form the final offer for export-oriented companies in the region. This became known today at the round table meeting "Support for the export of companies from new territories in 2024". The event took place in Mariupol at the Azov State Technical University. The round table was opened by Roman Genkel, Vice President for Non-financial Products Development, Regional and Foreign Network and Partner Policy of the REC, who heads the REC delegation in the new territories.

At the event, Andrey Zaitsev, Director of Regional Business Development at the REC, reported on non-financial measures that can increase the company's competitiveness in international markets and help successfully develop exports provided by the Russian Export Center Group (part of VEB.RF). Among other things, free educational courses and webinars were mentioned, as well as opportunities to participate in international exhibitions and business missions.

In turn, Sergey Agaev, the head of the REC regional business development project, told representatives of companies in new territories how to obtain financing for the purchase of imported products, the nuances of providing guarantee support, loans from Roseximbank. Also at the event, they talked about the work of the digital platform "My Export" and the services of the Russian export agency for export credit and investment insurance EXIAR. Separately, the speaker focused on the main measures of state support for export-oriented companies, the most popular promotion tools and criteria for receiving support, as well as the main changes in the provision of state support this year.

The participants of the round table agreed on the need to expand measures to support exporters and deepen cooperation with the REC to stimulate the export potential of the region, as well as work together to overcome customs and logistical obstacles.

And the day before, a meeting of the Export Council of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) was held in Donetsk. The results of the DPR's export activities in 2023 and plans for the current year were discussed at the event: export indicators, problematic aspects and measures to support domestic companies were discussed.

The participants of the working meeting considered aspects of the interaction of the REC Group with new territories: the cooperation of the REC with the enterprises of the DPR was analyzed, plans for further export development were outlined.

The meeting also discussed a strategy to ensure favorable conditions for the development of DPR exports until 2030. In particular, the current concept and the main directions of export development in the republic for the long term are analyzed.

The work of the Export Council was attended by representatives of the authorities of the DPR, the REC Group, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the DPR, export-oriented enterprises of the republic and the expert community.
