In Mordovia, within the framework of the federal Clean Water project of the national Housing and Urban Environment project, the implementation of a project to upgrade the water supply system to provide high-quality water to residents of the city of Krasnoslobodsk continues. By the end of 2024, new water supply networks will be laid in the district center and two water towers will be built.

"The implementation of the Clean Water project includes a set of measures to modernize centralized water supply systems using advanced water treatment technologies. The project aims to create all the necessary conditions for everyone to have access to high-quality water without any restrictions. Thus, it will soon be possible to improve water quality for about 1.3 thousand more residents of Mordovia: in the city of Krasnoslobodsk, the water supply system is being modernized, which will ensure the recharge of existing water supply networks, water purification from impurities and water storage in the necessary volumes," said Alexey Yeresko, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation.

According to the project, about 2.6 km of pipes will be laid in the center of Krasnoslobodsk according to the ring scheme. The water pipeline route starts from the existing water intake node and will run along Lenin, Chapaev and Karl Marx Streets, followed by connection to existing networks. Two water towers with a volume of 80 cubic meters each and a water treatment plant will also be built, which will bring the water to standard values through the use of a reverse osmosis system. In case of an accident or routine maintenance, a bypass line is provided at the water treatment plant to supply water to the water supply network. Wastewater will be discharged into a special storage tank.

"The implementation of the project to upgrade the water supply system in Krasnoslobodsk is being monitored by inspectors of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Rosstroycontrol. The start of work at the facility was given in February of this year. At the moment, the foundation for water towers and the development of a foundation pit for the construction of a future water treatment plant are continuing. Advanced technologies will be used during construction, including the water treatment plant will be equipped with an automation system with its own intelligent control unit, which ensures operation without the constant presence of employees," said Vladimir Shcherbinin, General Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Rosstroycontrol.

Since 2020, control over the implementation of facilities within the framework of the federal Clean Water project has been provided by the Federal State Budgetary Institution Rosstroycontrol, subordinate to the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation.
