From January to March of this year, the Nizhny Novgorod branch of Rosgosstrakh settled 1,872 insurance cases, paying more than 191 million rubles to its customers. The average payout for one event exceeded 102 thousand rubles.

Most of the insurance cases were settled in car insurance, of which 350 were in casco. The largest payment in the first quarter exceeded 6 million rubles — for a Mercedes minibus. A customer of Rosgosstrakh, a resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region, was involved in an accident in the Ivanovo region, not calculating the distance on the highway and "catching up" with a truck traveling in the same direction. In an insurance case, Rosgosstrakh paid the insurance indemnity to the client. In total, casco payments in the first quarter amounted to about 60 million rubles.

According to Vera Ranchinskaya, director of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of Rosgosstrakh, the branch notes an increase in casco payments. The main reason is the noticeable rise in price of a significant part of spare parts and paintwork materials for cars. In addition, the owners themselves have become more expensive to evaluate their cars at the conclusion of the contract, realizing that in the event of theft — and there is always such a risk — or constructive death of the car in an accident, its owner will be able to receive compensation allowing him to purchase a car instead of the lost one.

"We see that the demand for casco policies is growing, because car owners have become more aware of the customer value of voluntary insurance," says Vera Ranchinskaya. — In the event of a serious accident caused by someone else's fault, the CTP limits may not be enough, and it will be quite difficult to restore the car yourself in conditions of rising prices for spare parts. At the same time, Rosgosstrakh offers various savings options for motorists: a hard hat with a franchise, a hard hat from the culprit without CTP, a hard hat with limited coverage when our client is not to blame. And sales of all these products are growing. Because it is important for car owners to have insurance coverage at the time of serious accidents."

More than 33 million rubles were paid by the Nizhny Novgorod branch for housing insurance cases in three months, and the largest payments, exceeding 3 million rubles each, were due to fires. So, the owner of the house from the Arzamas district received 3.35 million rubles — the neighbors noticed the fire, the owner himself was not there that day, they also called the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Despite the efforts of firefighters, the building was badly burned and burned out from the inside, partially collapsed ceilings and roof. As experts later determined, the cause of the fire was a short circuit in one of the rooms of the house.

"Short circuits are one of the most common causes of fires in our clients' residential buildings," says Vera Ranchinskaya. — Often problems with electrical wiring occur at night or in the absence of the owners. For those who do not want to be left with nothing and without a roof over their heads, signing an insurance contract is a very prudent and justified step. The insurance payment will be useful when repairing or building a new house."

The director of the Nizhny Novgorod branch noted that fires are a real scourge for private housing construction: in the total number of applications to Rosgosstrakh, the share of owners of buildings (houses, dachas, garages, baths) is 2.5—3 times higher than apartment owners. Vera Ranchinskaya recalled that Rosgosstrakh in the Nizhny Novgorod region is among the leaders of the regional insurance market. And the undisputed leader in both fees and payments to its customers.in the historical segment for the company — housing insurance for residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
