RN-Yuganskneftegaz, the largest oil producing asset of Rosneft, transferred part of the oil and gas production facilities to centralized power supply by the end of 2023. This solution allowed for a 39% reduction in the use of diesel generator sets in the fields. In monetary terms, the economic effect amounted to about 2.8 billion rubles.

Improving the efficiency of production assets is one of the key priorities of Rosneft's strategy. The Company's enterprises systematically implement measures aimed at improving energy efficiency, reducing fuel and energy resources, optimizing electrical loads and thermal processes.

Last year, RN-Yuganskneftegaz commissioned over 200 km of overhead power transmission lines and 25 transformer substations. The expansion of the centralized energy infrastructure makes it possible to effectively replace the local power supply system used in the construction of cluster sites in remote fields. The cost of electricity generated by a diesel generator set is five times higher than the cost of electricity from the Russian energy system. In addition, reducing the number of diesel generators reduces carbon dioxide emissions and minimizes the impact on the atmospheric air in the mining region.

RN-Yuganskneftegaz produces more than 21% of total electricity consumption at its own power plants. The Priobskaya and Prirazlomnaya stations produced a total of more than 2.7 billion kWh of electricity in 2023. Associated petroleum gas is used as fuel for them, which helps to increase the level of its useful use and preserve the ecology of the region of presence.

Due to the timely and high-quality implementation of scheduled preventive repairs of power equipment, a high indicator of reliable and uninterrupted power supply to oil drilling and production facilities of RN-Yuganskneftegaz has been achieved.
