British Investment Company Bridgepoint Group acquires a controlling stake in the Danish company UMag Solutions ApS in the field of defense technologies for 250 million euros. This is reported by foreign media.
As part of the deal, Bridgepoint will partner with UMag's founders, who will retain significant stakes in the company and continue to lead the business.
The deal adds assets to the Bridgepoint portfolio involving manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles. UMag is engaged in the production of UAVs and systems for detecting unexploded ordnance and naval mines in the interests of NATO against the background of a sharp increase in defense spending in Europe, increased investment in armed forces modernization programs and increased demand for mine detection and maritime security equipment.
Bridgepoint, which mainly supports medium-sized businesses, acquired a controlling stake in MyDefence A/S, a Danish drone detection and jamming company, in 2024, and Comrod Communication AS, a Norwegian manufacturer of tactical communications and power devices for the defense industry, in 2025.
