Cargo turnover of Russian seaports decreased by 0.2 in 7 months%

Cargo turnover of seaports of the Russian Federation in January-July 2022 decreased by 0.2% to 482 million tons year-on-year. Including the volume of transshipment of dry cargo decreased by 5.1% to 225.8 million tons, bulk cargo increased by 4.5% to 256.2 million tons. This is reported by Rosmorrechflot.

At the same time, the cargo turnover of the seaports of the Caspian basin fell by 27.5% to 3.1 million tons. The main culprit of the fall is the transshipment of bulk cargo, which decreased by 40.1% to 1.4 million tons. The volume of dry cargo transshipment decreased by 3.5% to 1.4 million tons.

Cargo turnover of seaports in the Arctic basin increased by 3.3% to 56.5 million tons. The volume of dry cargo transshipment there decreased by 4.1% to 15.6 million tons, bulk cargo increased by 6.4% to 40.9 million tons.

Cargo turnover of seaports of the Baltic basin decreased by 0.6% to 143.6 million tons, of which the volume of transshipment of dry cargo amounted to 56.3 million tons (-7.1%), bulk cargo – 87.3 million tons (+14.1%).

Cargo turnover of seaports of the Azov-Black Sea basin reached 147.6 million tons (+0.3%). The volume of dry cargo transshipment increased by 1.2% to 64.3 million tons, bulk cargo – decreased by 0.5% to 83.3 million tons.

The cargo turnover of the seaports of the Far Eastern basin amounted to 131.2 million tons (-0.9%). The volume of transshipment of dry cargo is 88.2 million tons (-0.5%), bulk cargo - 43 million tons (-1.5%).
