Cargo turnover of Russian seaports decreased by 0.9% in 11 months

Cargo turnover of Russian seaports in January-November 2025 amounted to 808.7 million tons. This is 0.9% less than in the same period of 2024, according to the website of the Association of Commercial Seaports.

The volume of transshipment of dry cargo decreased by 0.9% to 403.7 million tons, including grain – by 34.2% to 46.5 million tons, cargo in containers – by 2.6% to 49.1 million tons. Coal transshipment increased by 7.6% to 187 million tons, mineral fertilizers – by 7.6% to 42.1 million tons, ferrous metals – by 22.2% to 21.2 million tons, ore – by 32.4% to 14.4 million tons.

The volume of bulk cargo transshipment decreased by 0.7% to 405 million tons, including petroleum products – by 7.4% to 110.8 million tons, food cargo – by 11.4% to 5.2 million tons. Transshipment of crude oil increased by 2.1% to 251.7 million tons, and liquefied gas by 3.7% to 33.8 million tons.

635.6 million tons of export cargo were overloaded, which is 1.3% less than in the same period last year. 37.7 million tons (-3.5%) of imported cargo were overloaded, 66.9 million tons (+12.1%) of transit cargo, and 35.7 million tons (-10.9%) of coastal cargo.
