Customs detained a large batch of counterfeit clothing of famous brands

A mobile group of the Samara Customs in cooperation with the border department of the FSB of Russia in the Orenburg region on the A300 highway detained a truck carrying a large batch of goods with violations.

As stated in the message of the FCS, the vehicle traveling from Kyrgyzstan was stopped for inspection. As a result of customs inspection, more than 5 thousand items of outerwear with signs of counterfeiting were revealed: men's and women's jackets, children's trousers and overalls with logos of famous brands - Armani, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Fila, Loro Piana, Prada, Tommy Hilfiger. The damage caused to the copyright holders is estimated at over 385 million rubles.

In addition, more than 17 thousand units of light industry goods (jackets, vests, coats) were transported in the truck without mandatory marking by means of identification.

Samara Customs transferred materials on the fact of detecting counterfeit goods to the Orenburg Linear Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on transport for consideration of the initiation of a criminal case under Article 180 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal use of someone else's trademark if this act was committed repeatedly or caused major damage).

Materials on the fact of moving unmarked products will be transferred to the Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Orenburg region for making procedural decisions within the framework of current legislation on the possibility of bringing perpetrators under Article 15.12 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
