Gazprom has commissioned the facilities of the second phase of the development of the Semakovskoye field in the Arctic. This is stated in the company's message.

The field has increased the stock of production wells, the productivity of the integrated gas treatment plant, booster compressor station and own-use power plant.

The facilities of the second phase allow to increase gas production at the field to 12 billion cubic meters. From 7.5 billion cubic meters per year, all extracted gas is sent to Russia's Unified Gas Supply System via a 122-kilometer gas pipeline connection.

For the first time in Russian history, gas production from deposits located in the water area is organized from the shore using special wells with a large deviation from the vertical (ERD wells). Several Russian records were set during their construction.

The Semakovskoye gas field is located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. According to the classification of reserves, it belongs to the large category. The main part of the reserves is located in the waters of the Taz Bay of the Kara Sea. The field is being developed by Rusgazalliance LLC. The field was put into commercial operation in December 2022.
