In August 2025, banks issued 1.62 million cash loans to Russians for 317.13 billion rubles. This was announced by the United Credit Bureau.
The number of disbursements decreased by 45% year—on-year, and the volume decreased by 39%. In August 2024, 2.96 million loans worth 519.81 billion rubles were issued. The average amount of a cash loan for the year increased by 21 thousand rubles to 196 thousand rubles. The average loan term for the same period decreased by 4 months to 30.
Compared to the results of July, when 1.6 million loans worth 302.45 billion rubles were issued, the number of cash loans increased by 1% in August, and the volume increased by 5%. The average loan size increased by 4%: in July it amounted to 189 thousand rubles. The average loan term for the month has not changed.
