In the Orenburg region, work has been completed on the gas pipeline branch to Mednogorsk, one of the industrial centers of the region. The works were carried out within the framework of the program to improve the reliability of the facilities of the Unified Gas Supply System. This is reported by Gazprom.
Specialists of Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg LLC carried out major repairs of the gas pipeline crossing through the railway connecting Orenburg with Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg.
Ural gas workers repaired the underground passage through the railway in a month and a half, bringing it in line with modern industrial safety requirements. In particular, the length of the protective case under the railway embankment was increased by more than 90 m and 330 m of pipe with a diameter of 530 mm was re-laid. In addition, within the framework of the production complex, new "zero" cranes were installed on gas pipelines-branches to the villages of Gubernia and Khalilovo.
During the complex of works, gas was supplied to consumers without restrictions. When the section of the gas pipeline-branch was under repair, gas to Mednogorsk went through a jumper from the Dombarovka — Orenburg main gas pipeline. For gas supply to residents of individual settlements, five mobile automobile gas tankers with compressed gas were connected to three gas distribution stations.
Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg LLC — A 100% subsidiary of Gazprom PJSC, provides maintenance of gas transportation system facilities, transportation and distribution of natural gas in four regions: Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Orenburg. Annually, the company performs freight transport work for Gazprom PJSC and third-party customers in the amount of 35-40 trillion m3. In the company's production areas, more than 8.5 thousand km of main gas pipelines and branch pipelines, 17 compressor shops with 125 gas pumping units, 282 gas distribution stations, 9 automobile gas filling compressor stations are operated.
