In the Russian Federation, more than 2.5 billion transactions worth 10.5 trillion rubles were carried out through the Fast Payment System (SBP) in the first quarter of 2024, which is 2 times higher than in the same period last year. This is reported in the materials of the Bank of Russia.
Every fourth transaction carried out through the SBP from January to March 2024 was related to the payment of goods or services.
Citizens spent 1.2 trillion rubles on almost 700 million purchases. This is three times higher than the results of the first quarter of 2023.
The regulator is observing a steady increase in the number of retail and service enterprises that have joined payments through the SBP. As of April 1, their number amounted to more than 1.6 million, which is 10% more than at the beginning of this year.
