The Komi Republic has signed a concession agreement for the construction of a MSW treatment facility. The volume of investments in the project will amount to 726 million rubles. This is stated in the message of the REO.
A waste sorting facility with a capacity of 17,000 tons per year will be built in Vorkuta. The concessionaire is the Komi Environmental Operator. The agreement was concluded within the framework of the mechanism approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 649-R.
The implementation of the project will help reduce the environmental burden in the region.
