In 2023-2024, Polyus will experiment with communicating the company's results in the field of sustainable development.
This was stated at the Second All-Russian Conference "NON-FINANCIAL REPORTING" by Daria Grigorieva, Director of the Department of Sustainable Development of the Polyus gold mining company, speaking about plans for the development of non-financial reporting.
During these periods, the company will continue to work with the quality and depth of disclosure, the practice of publishing thematic reports, the practice of public assurance of the RSPP.
Polyus ranks first among the world's largest gold mining companies in terms of gold reserves and fourth in terms of production, demonstrating the lowest costs among leading global producers. The company's main production facilities are located in Siberia and the Far East: on the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Irkutsk and Magadan regions, as well as the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Polyus' profit under IFRS for the first half of 2022 increased by 27% to $1.39 billion from $1.09 billion a year earlier. Revenue decreased by 19% to $1.8 billion from $2.27 billion, adjusted EBITDA – by 26% to $1.2 billion from $1.64 billion.
The Second All-Russian Conference "NON-FINANCIAL REPORTING" is taking place in Moscow on November 25. A distinctive feature of this event is the consideration of purely practical issues of implementing standards and preparing reports on sustainable development.
