In the coming years, water will become the main resource – economic, political, and universal. Having, according to various estimates, at least a third of clean water reserves on the territory of the Russian Federation, we need to think about how to help other countries that already export water for people's needs. This is a topic that requires special attention. This was stated during the plenary session of the Global Financial Forum ECUMENE 2022 by the UN Goodwill Ambassador, Chairman of the Central Council of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation (VOOP) Vyacheslav Fetisov.
"Another problem that we will discuss is the degradation of soil lands. Different calculations give us an understanding that by the middle of the century we will lose half of the soil lands. Of course, the Russian Federation is the country that can provide the opportunity to grow food not only for its own needs, but also for everyone else," V. Fetisov added.
