Lime coolers at all three lime-generating furnaces in the chemical building of the combine will be replaced at the Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill. Investments amount to about 120 million rubles. The total cost of the environmental program is 1.5 billion rubles. This is stated in the message of Segezha Group.
The new equipment has already been installed on two furnaces – IRP-2 and IRP-3. Decommissioned refrigerators have been used here for more than 30 years. For the entire history of the plant, their complete replacement was made for the first time.
New lime coolers will increase the efficiency of the technological process. They will ensure proper tightness when cooling lime after firing furnaces and it will practically cease to enter the discharged air. Thus, the replacement of refrigerators at the lime-generating furnaces of the plant will significantly improve the state of the environment in the city of Segezha.
