Weekend trading will be available on the futures market of the Moscow Stock Exchange from August 9, 2025. The trades will be conducted as part of an additional weekend session, which is part of the trading day following the weekend, the exchange said in a statement.

At the first stage, investors will be able to enter into transactions with all futures and calendar spreads in all trading modes, with the exception of currency contracts. Option transactions will be available only in addressable mode. The liquidity will be supported by market makers.

To reduce volatility risks and ensure liquidity, the price boundaries for each group of instruments (indices, stocks, commodities) will be narrowed relative to the price boundaries determined during the evening clearing session of the previous business day and will not change. There are no changes in risk parameters or parameters of traded instruments during weekend trading.

The auction will be held from 09:50 to 19:00 (09:50-10:00 — opening auction, 10:00-19:00 — trading period).

Clearing sessions and settlements will not be conducted during and following the results of additional weekend sessions. Funding for perpetual contracts will not be calculated by analogy with morning and evening auctions.

Since March 1, 2025, a weekend trading session has been held on the stock market of the Moscow Stock Exchange. Over the past period, the number of shares available for weekend trading has increased by more than 2 times and today stands at 114. To reduce volatility risks and ensure liquidity, the price limits during weekend trading have been narrowed to 3% of the last current price of the previous trading day.
