Moscow Railway increased passenger traffic more than 3.7 times in April

According to preliminary data, 61.9 million passengers traveled across the Moscow Railway's infrastructure in April 2021, which is more than 3.7 times above the result achieved in April 2020. In particular, commuter traffic increased more than 3.7 times (from 16.2 million to 60.2 million people), the number of long-distance passengers more than 4.5 times (from 362 thousand to 1.6 million people), the press service of the Moscow Railway informed.

In April 2021, passenger turnover reached 2.2 billion passenger kilometers, which is more than 3.5 times above the April 2020 level.

The number of passengers for January-April 2021 exceeded 213 million, including 207.4 million passengers of commuter trains (+12.9%), 5.7 million passengers of long-distance trains (-2.7%).

The Moscow Central Circle transported 13.7 million passengers in April, which is more than 5.6 times above the result achieved in April 2020.
