American robot manufacturer Agility Robotics has entered into an agreement with Nyobolt to supply ultrafast chargers for the Digit 5. This is reported in a press release. Agility.
Agility recently introduced the Digit 5 as the first humanoid robot designed to work in large rooms. The Nyobolt fast charging function ensures continuous operation of the Digit, allowing it to work more than 20 hours a day. Agility plans to launch the Digit 5 with Nyobolt batteries in the first half of 2027 and ensure accessibility for production, warehouse, and distribution operators.
Earlier, Agility Robotics entered into a merger agreement with Churchill Capital Corp. XI0 (SPAC) to enter the stock exchange. As part of the deal, the value of Agility Robotics is estimated at $2.5 billion.
The structure of the deal provides for the creation of the only public company in the United States in the production of humanoid robots. The total proceeds from the deal will exceed $600 million, including $420 million from the Churchill trust account and $200 million from private investments, in particular from Taiwanese investor Foxconn.
