Passenger traffic on the Russian Railways network in January-May 2023 increased by 8.9% to 466 million compared to a year earlier. Passenger traffic in suburban traffic increased by 8% to 423.5 million, in long–distance traffic - by 18% to 42.5 million. This is stated in the company's message.
In May 2023, 102.5 million passengers left railway stations and stations, which is 5.5% more than in the same period of 2022, including the number of passengers sent in suburban traffic amounted to 92.7 million (+5.3%), in long–distance travel - 9.8 million (+7.2%).
