Greenhouse production of vegetables in Russia has increased by 80% since 2016. The area of greenhouse complexes has increased by more than half to 3,000 ha, Russia's Ministry of Agriculture informed.
The five leading greenhouse vegetable production regions include Lipetsk, Moscow, Volgograd regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol krais.
In 2021, the winter greenhouses may yield 1.4 million tonnes of vegetables.
