Rosprirodnadzor has identified contamination of the Volga River in the area of ship sedimentation at the mooring wall of the Lotos shipyard near the city of Narimanov. This is stated in the message of the service.
The specialists took samples of water and sediments, which showed excess concentrations of pollutants. The environmental damage amounted to 1.38 million rubles.
The company refused to compensate for the damage voluntarily, and the service appealed to the court. The Arbitration Court of the Astrakhan region satisfied the requirements of Rosprirodnadzor in full.
