Russia increased supplies to India by 71% in 2020

In 2020, Russia exported 585,000 tonnes of food products to India, which is 26% above the 2019 result. In money terms, supplies increased by 71% to $400 million, according to a statement by the Ministry of Agriculture's AgroExport Center for Development of Agricultural Exports.

In 2020, export shipments of sunflower oil to India increased by 91% to 460,000 tonnes worth $333 million.

In June 2020, India resumed imports of soybean oil from Russia. For the 12-month period, its supplies from Russia reached 45,000 tonnes for a total amount of $30 million. In 2019, India did not import this product from Russia.
