Russian Helicopters handed over the Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter in cargo version to Surgut airline ARGO. In the near future, the aircraft produced by the Kazan Helicopter Plant will go to the base airfield in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, the holding said in a statement.

The on-board Vector system is installed on the machine, which allows you to measure the exact weight of objects transported on an external suspension. It allows you to measure the exact weight of the cargo when it is lifted off the ground. In real time, the received data is transmitted from the sensors to the display mounted on the dashboard. The commander of the aircraft can make sure for himself that the weight of the cargo corresponds to the declared one.

The Mi-8MTV-1 can carry up to 23 passengers or cargo weighing up to 4 tons on an external suspension – the exact figure depends on external factors, including the height of the landing pad above sea level, air temperature, flight range. The helicopter supplied for ARGO has been modified to install an onboard boom with a winch for lifting loads in hovering mode and conducting possible rescue operations.

The car is equipped with two additional external fuel tanks with a capacity of 915 liters, thanks to which the maximum flight range is increased from 620 to 1050 km.
