In five months of 2023, Russian nuclear power plants generated over 88.6 billion kilowatt-hours, or 102.68% of the balance sheet task of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia. Thus, over 2.3 billion kWh have been generated in excess of the balance sheet task since the beginning of this year, Rosatom said.

Production in May amounted to more than 16.7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. The operation of all Russian nuclear power plants over the five months of 2023 made it possible to prevent greenhouse gas emissions into the atmospheric air in the amount of about 43.5 million tons of CO2 equivalent.
