Russian Railways Logistics and UTI Transit have created a joint venture

JSC "Russian Railways Logistics" and the Uzbek logistics company LLC UTI Transit have created a joint venture - LLC RZDL Transservice Group, aimed at increasing rail freight traffic between Russia, China and the countries of Central Asia. This is stated in the message of the Russian Railways Logistics company.

The created joint venture will be located on the territory of Uzbekistan and will attract customers to the routes: Moscow-Tashkent-Moscow; transit from China to Uzbekistan via Kazakhstan; Kazakhstan - Uzbekistan - Kazakhstan; Moscow - Tashkent - Dushanbe. In addition, the company will participate in the development of new transport corridors from China to Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Within the framework of the joint venture, Russian Railways Logistics will provide cargo collection and reception at the terminals of the Moscow region, the provision of fitting platforms, autonomous refrigerated containers, tariff payment and service on the way through the territories of Russia and Kazakhstan. The authority of UTI Transit is to provide similar services on the territory of Uzbekistan. The subsequent expansion of routes and services will be carried out by agreement of the parties.

At the first stage of its activity, the joint Russian-Uzbek enterprise RZDL Transservice Group will provide freight forwarding services for cargo transportation on the Moscow-Tashkent-Moscow route with a regularity of 2 round trips per month with a volume of 40 forty-foot autonomous refrigerated containers in each train, as well as organize export-import transportation between the regions of Russia and Uzbekistan of agricultural goods by motor transport. Thus, in 2022, it is planned to increase the volume of transportation to 5 Eurofours per week from Russia to Uzbekistan and to 7 Eurofours per week in the opposite direction.

In the future, the joint venture plans to increase the cargo base both due to agricultural products and other types of cargo in transportation between the Russian Federation, China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries by rail and road in order to increase the volume of cargo transportation of enterprises of both large and small and medium-sized businesses, and to ensure the stable development of the Agroexpress service.
