Several of the UK's largest public pension funds are in talks to acquire a stake in Center Parcs. This is reported by foreign media.

The Greater Manchester Pension Fund, the London-based Local Pension Partnership and the Lothian Pension Scheme in Edinburgh are among the contenders to acquire 15-20% of the shares in Center Parcs, controlled by Canadian Brookfield Asset Management, as part of the recapitalization, which will be completed in the first quarter of 2026.

The total cost of Center Parcs is estimated at 4.5 billion pounds ($6.1 billion). The Chinese sovereign wealth fund China Investment Corp., which already owns a stake in Center Parcs, intends to invest additional funds in Center Parcs.

Center Parcs is a British company for the management of resort villages in woodlands. The headquarters is located in New Allerton (England). The company owns five resorts in the UK and one in Ireland.
