Shvabe and Leeuwenhoek have signed a cooperation agreement

Shvabe and Leeuwenhoek signed a cooperation agreement during the international exhibition Innoprom-2022. Thanks to the new partnership, new high-quality telescopes of entirely Russian production will enter the market.  This was reported by Rostec.

The Lytkarinsky Optical Glass Plant (LZOS) of the Shvabe Holding has released two new models of the Newton telescope with high optical characteristics. The devices are equipped with a 130 mm mirror and a replaceable eyepiece. According to the agreement, in the near future LZOS will transfer the first batch of telescopes for sale to Leeuwenhoek. 

Thanks to the large 130-millimeter mirror, the Newton telescope allows you to see even not particularly bright objects of the night sky. This telescope is suitable for both novice astronomers and advanced stargazers. 

The Levenhuk company is the largest distributor of optical equipment in Russia and CIS countries, as well as a manufacturer of optical equipment under its own brand Levenhuk (telescopes, microscopes, binoculars). To date, Leeuwenhoek is the only company in the Russian Federation that produces educational content and accessories for amateur astronomy and microscopy. 

LZOS holds the position of the leading Russian manufacturer of optical materials and large-sized astronomical mirrors. The share of its products in the country is 98%.
