Svyatogor increased 6-month crude copper production by 1.6%

Production of crude copper by JSC Svyatogor (part of the UMMC metallurgical complex) in the first half of 2020 increased by 1.6% year-on-year to 43,000 tonnes, the company informed.

The mining shop developing the North-Western section of the Volkovskoye deposit extracted 1.26 million cubic meters of rock mass, which is almost 40% above the result achieved in January-June 2019. About 560,000 tonnes of commercial ore were prepared for processing at the Krasnouralsk concentration plant (part of JSC Svyatogor), which is 12% above the 6-month target.

The Krasnouralskaya concentrating plant processed about 1.35 million tonnes of raw materials, which is almost 2% above the 6-month target and above the result achieved in 1H 2019.
