In July 2023, growth was observed in the Russian engineering industry for the fifth month in a row. The total production in the five machine-building industries was 41.7% higher than in July 2022. At the same time, compared with June, the production growth rate increased slightly, remaining very high, primarily due to the effect of the low base of last year. In general, according to Rosstat, over the seven months of 2023, the total turnover of enterprises in all sectors of mechanical engineering increased significantly by 21.9% compared to the same period in 2022. In general, we can say that the industry has adapted to the prevailing macroeconomic conditions and is in a phase of recovery growth.
The company "Dzhoshkunoz Alabuga" has launched mass production of chassis parts for AvtoVAZ in Tatarstan. Total investments exceeded 1 billion rubles, of which 500 million rubles were provided by the Federal Industrial Development Fund. The company acquired high-tech equipment and established the production of all-stamped and composite metal chassis parts (suspension and axles). The volume of production after reaching the design capacity will be 14 million parts per year. Localization of production — 100%.
The Borus machine-building plant has launched serial production of front-end loaders. The production of components of their own design for them has also been established. Total investments in the creation of a new workshop amounted to 500 million rubles. In addition, the company has increased the production of already manufactured attachments for excavators, graders and other special equipment: loggers, soil rippers, buckets, side dumps for snow removal, blade blades, quick-caplers, grappling grips, elevator cabins, etc. The localization level, according to the company's estimates, is 64%. By 2025, the Krasnoyarsk plant plans to reach the level of 80%.
Imports of passenger cars from China increased 5.7 times in the first seven months of 2023. During this period, more than 405 thousand passenger cars were delivered from China to Russia. According to published statistics, in value terms, deliveries increased 7.5 times, to $5.65 billion. In terms of purchases of Chinese cars, Russia ranks first, accounting for about 14% of their exports from China in the reporting period. At the same time, in July, the volume of deliveries increased by 2% compared to June, to 79.6 thousand units, and in value increased by 3.4%, to $ 1.06 billion.
