Mobile operators complain about stricter restrictions on the placement of base stations near residential buildings and social facilities. More and more regions at the level of local authorities are changing the rules of landscaping, imposing bans on the placement of base stations near residential buildings and social facilities, said Andrey Rego, Vice President of MTS for interaction with government agencies, at the conference "Telecom: Reboot" Comnews on May 30. According to him, such restrictions already exist in the rules of the Moscow region, since the end of 2023 they have been introduced in the Kostroma, Penza and Vologda regions, and now the relevant bill is being considered in St. Petersburg. If it is adopted, the connection in the central part of the city may disappear altogether, Andrei Rego believes.
