The American software company Adobe Inc. has acquired the Indian startup Rilo in the field of marketing workflow automation. This is reported in a press release from Adobe.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is in line with Adobe's strategy to increase its marketing portfolio and highlights Adobe's transition from simple generative tools to a deep agent-based infrastructure. Adobe previously acquired Semrush and an Indian video platform. Rephrase.ai for $1.9 billion.

Startup Rilo recently raised $1 million in investments from PeakXV, DeVC and Day Zero Ventures at a valuation of $10 million. After the completion of the transaction, the Rilo service will be closed to customers. At the moment, automation of marketing workflows is solved by a combination of ChatGPT, Google Sheets and internal scripts.

Rilo technology allows go-to-market teams to create custom workflows (analyze competitors, distribute content, and analyze call recordings) and is similar in functionality to Claude Cowork and ChatGPT Work, universal constructors for complex automations.

Adobe is an American software development company, including Photoshop. Adobe operates in three segments — Digital Media, Digital Experience, and publishing and Advertising (Adobe Advertising and Creative Management). The headquarters is located in San Jose, California.

Rilo is an Indian startup developing autonomous "agent—based" systems for AI automation of complete work processes. The headquarters is located in Bombay (India).
