In the Russian Federation, the program of preferential mortgage loans for the construction or purchase of housing in rural areas has become indefinite. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The Rural Mortgage program has been in operation since 2020 and was supposed to be in effect until December 31, 2022. Since the start of the program, more than 97 thousand loans worth 187.1 billion rubles have been issued.
A loan under the Rural Mortgage program can be taken for the purchase of a land plot and the construction of housing on it, a ready-made private house, as well as for the construction of housing on an existing plot. The program applies to land or housing in rural areas and in cities with a population of no more than 30 thousand people.
