The Bank of Russia has included Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether USDT in the list of cryptocurrencies available for public circulation on exchanges. The corresponding regulation contains a draft instruction published for discussion, according to the Central Bank's website.
Qualified investors are given the right to purchase all cryptocurrencies that will be traded on the exchange and over-the-counter markets, without restrictions.
Unqualified investors will be able to buy cryptocurrencies from each intermediary — broker, crypto exchange or manager for 300 thousand rubles per year.
Before making transactions, investors, regardless of their status, should be tested and familiarize themselves with the risks of investing in crypto assets.
