The Central Bank has revoked the license for banking operations from the Moscow Bank for Industrial Development and Modernization (RMP Bank). In terms of assets, the credit institution ranked 292nd in the Russian banking system, according to the regulator's website.
RMP Bank was not a significant creditor of the real sector of the economy, the main operations were carried out in the interests of the bank's shareholders and related parties, the Central Bank emphasizes.
Earlier, the Bank of Russia identified transactions in the activities of a credit institution that showed signs of asset withdrawal. Information about them was sent to law enforcement agencies.
RMP Bank was actively involved in conducting suspicious transit operations aimed at withdrawing funds abroad and cashing them out, as well as ensuring the purchase of unaccounted for cash trading proceeds in the retail sector.
At the same time, the credit institution did not carry out timely work to identify and submit to the authorized body information about suspicious transactions involving customers.
