The Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Russia will create a crypto exchange for super-qualified investors. This was stated by Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov at an expanded board of the Ministry of Finance, according to the ministry's website.
"Together with the Central Bank, we will launch a crypto exchange for super-qualified investors. There will be a legalization of crypto assets, the withdrawal of operations in the "crypt" from the shadow. These are the operations that are defined today within the framework of the experimental legal regime. Tokenization will make it easier to attract new investments. The digital ruble will take its place in monetary circulation," A. Siluanov emphasized.
According to the minister, the financial world is rapidly moving towards the development of modern digital technologies. "The task of the Ministry of Finance is to remain at the forefront of the development of digital technologies," the minister explained.
This concerns the turnover of cryptocurrencies and settlements in the CFA, tokenization of real sector assets, the use of the digital ruble and artificial intelligence in the budget process.
