The Ministry of Finance would not like individuals to direct their savings into digital currencies. This was stated by the director of the Financial Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance Ivan Chebeskov during the blockchain conference of Sberbank, the ministry reported.

According to him, investing in digital currencies is, according to I. Chebeskov, an option for citizens with large savings.

Nevertheless, it is not worth investing large amounts of funds in such assets, the head of the Department of the Ministry of Finance stressed.

"It would be wrong for the people themselves to invest their money in large volumes. Unless it is a wealthy person who has deposits, securities, real estate, and some part of his investments, 5-10% of his investments, he invests in a high-risk instrument, the volatility of which can reach 100-200% per year, as he is ready to take a risk. But if this is a citizen with an average income, with average savings, rather, digital currencies are not for him," I. Chebeskov explained.
