Reconstruction of the plant for the production of powdered milk mixtures (replacing breast milk) in Istra is planned to be completed at the end of 2023. This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow region.
"The reconstruction of production will increase capacity from 6 to 16 thousand tons per year. Now in the country, most of the components for the manufacture of such mixtures are imported and the development of such projects opens up a great potential for import substitution. The total amount of investments will be 5 billion," said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, who oversees the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, quoted in the message.
During the reconstruction, it is planned to build a raw materials warehouse, a laboratory building, a finished product warehouse and a scientific laboratory, as well as the renovation of technical and household premises. Landscaping works are underway now, a transformer substation and a fire extinguishing station have been installed, external engineering communications are being carried out. In addition, a building for drying products has been built, now finishing works are being carried out there and preparations for the installation of the main equipment that has already been purchased. The construction of a new raw materials warehouse has already begun: columns have been erected and metal structures have been installed.
