The State Duma adopted in the second and third readings amendments to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, providing for the suspension of the employment contract of employees called up for military service on mobilization, as well as those who are in reserve and have signed a contract for military service. This is stated in the message of the lower house of parliament.
In accordance with the law, after the end of military service within three months, this category of citizens will be able to return to their previous official duties. The period of suspension of the employment contract must be counted in the employee's work experience, as well as in the work experience in the specialty. The periods of military service of conscripted during mobilization and contract employees will be counted in the length of service required for registration of an insurance pension.
It is envisaged that family members of mobilized citizens and volunteers cannot be sent on official business trips, to work overtime, at night, on weekends and holidays. It provides for a preferential right to retain work when reducing the number or staff of employees.
