The volume of industrial production in Russia in October decreased by 2.6%

The volume of industrial production in October 2022 decreased by 2.6% year-on-year, compared with the previous month it increased by 5.3%. In January-October 2022, industrial production increased by 0.1%. This is reported by Rosstat.

Mining in October 2022 decreased by 2.7% compared to October 2021, manufacturing industries - by 2.4%, the energy sector - by 2.4%, industries related to water supply and sanitation, waste disposal and pollution elimination - by 7.4%.

In the raw materials sector, the volume of oil and gas production fell by 3.4%, coal mining – by 3.3%, metal ore mining - by 7%.

Among the manufacturing industries, the largest decline was shown by industries related to the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (-45.2%).

The energy sector, including heat and gas supply services, reduced electricity generation by 1.4% and steam generation by 6.5%.

The production of computers, electronic and optical products increased by 18.3%, the production of clothing – by 11.9%, the production of finished metal products (except machinery and equipment) – by 4.7%.
